The Home Energy Rating System is a standardized approach to measuring the energy efficiency of one home versus another. Currently the scale ranges from 250 (poor energy performance) to 0 or Net Zero. Net Zero means that you have both an extremely efficient home and on site power generation to reduce the monthly average usage to zero.
A score of 100 is equivalent to a new home built to the current California Building Code Standards. Data collected from homes are entered into specialized computer software that models the home and generates the home's "score".
HERS ratings are an important part of the building process, providing verification of large ticket items like Heating & Air Conditioning Systems, Solar Electric Systems, Insulation, Appliances and more.
We have all of the equipment and current certifications to provide a HERS rating for your home.
