Refrigerant in your air conditioning system is the substance which absorbs heat from your home and takes it outside. An air conditioning system with too little refrigerant loses energy efficiency and cooling capacity.  A system with an 85% charge loses 25% efficiency compared to a properly charged system.

There are a few methods to verify Refrigerant Charge with the most accurate being connecting gauges to the system. Only EPA 608 certified technicians may perform a refrigerant charge verification by connecting gauges to the refrigerant lines.
